It would have been nice to have been notified that it would no longer work on my phone before it took my 99c to upgrade. I’m happy to donate, I really enjoyed using this while it worked.
I used to use the basic version it was working fine, when I tried using it again for my class, it asked for an upgrade to support the students and the teachers and the developers, I paid and since then it doesn’t open. I tried multiple times it still kicked me out. Please fix it!
i learned so much about the brain with this app. it helped me pass the AP psych exam !
I purchased this app and every time I open it it crashes and closes. This didn’t happen until I bought the in app purchase. I can’t open the app to discontinue it so I’m basically paying for an app I can’t even use!
I’ve discovered the insula is missing?
This app needs to be updated. It no longer works since I upgraded it.
Downloaded App, upgrade to Pro version. App will not open. Crashes immediately
No good
Useful app for my psych class, but there's no way to close it out once you launch it on iPhone - I have to actually shut my phone down to get out of the app, which is deeply irritating.
A bit laggy overall, but a great production nonetheless. A- in terms of grading 😼. Professor talking here
Great tool. The 3D Brain visualization is a must have for understanding the physical structures of the brain. Please add the insula. I was surprised that the insula appears to be lacking.
Come on, this crappy 6 FPS app takes up like 20 mb of my data.
I’m not able to open the application
The camera perspective does not respond smoothly to movements in the touch input. The camera often resets to a different orientation instead of rotating in the direction of the touch input.
Overall, I really like this app! I had no problems figuring out how to operate it and it was very easy to use. I enjoyed this app because it helped me with my psychology app and my anatomy classes! This app was filled with useful information about the brain and a fun way to learn/memorize the information.
Not working on iPhone XR after 14.2 update
I wish I had had this when I was a student! I downloaded it 5 minutes ago and already recommending it to my students. Best 99 cents ever spent!
I had to get this for my psychology class when we modeled a brain out of play dough. It wasn’t the easiest to use
I love this so much I swear by it and tell everyone to open it.... but it’s a nightmare to have this app open on split screen on the iPad pros. Makes it frustrating to have to keep opening and closing the app for reference.
Absolutely FANTASTIC app for graduate students in psychology, clinical psychology, and neuroscience! BEST BRAIN APP. I absolutely love it. It’s great for studying for the psychology GRE also. BUT, DO NOT UPGRADE. The upgrade was terrible. I was happy to pay for the upgrade, and I had to delete it and reinstall the old version. All my neuropsych friends said and did the same thing: upgraded then had to downgrade. App designers, why? :( You have a giant world of grad psychology student who would gladly give you their money if the paid version was actually better. Stick with the basic version, peoples, and you will be very happy!!
I love this app - although it’s just not very user friendly (or at least for me). I can never exit out of it - I have the new iPhone and there is not home button. So you swipe up to exit apps but this app does not allow you to close it that way. It’s very frustrating so I have to delete it.
The way it switches between brain areas (page turning animation) makes it hard to really compare location. The app will highlight 29 different brain areas — you switch between them by clicking on the list entry, and you can’t navigate by clicking directly on the brain area in the 3D view. The ordering of the brain areas in the list isn’t particularly intuitive (it’s alphabetical). 29 brain areas is not enough. Where are V1, V2, V3, etc.? Where’s the fusiform gyrus? Neuroscience is a field where we don’t know what the correct objects to be discussing really are. The app ought to distinguish between “neuroarchitechtonic regions” and things like sulcus/gyrus based regions (don’t know the right term). And for didactic purposes, a drawing of the motor homonculus and sensory homonculus would be fun.
Good app, but needs to update. The UI is old and does not work well with the new iPad and also it needs to update the information in every brain structure.
Why is the pineal gland missing it is even mentioned
I have successfully used the app in neuroscience courses as a supplemental aide. It is very helpful to students. Today I was informed that an upgrade was available for a .99. Certainly, I selected the upgrade immediately. I have not spent a great deal of time today with the app. Perhaps I am confusing this app with another resource—IT IS after all, Summer term! Here is my concern, although the visuals and the 3 D rotations are —as always— excellent- along with showing sub systems in relation to major brain components, all very good, with clear taxonomy-I seem to be missing the brief information on the functions of the varied parts of the brain. Please clarify , am I associating this feature and the information I expected to see with another resource entirely or is there a navigational step that I am missing on the upgrade ? Thank you kindly!
Good app, nice 3D rendering. I think the app UI could be substantially improved by a simple "back" button. Now, once you move to another section (e.g., by following a link) there is no way to quickly get back to the previous one. Instead you have to go to the main screen, and start again from there. And that time adds up quickly.
It would be perfect if there was a place to quiz us over different parts of the brain and their function.
Great app.
Includes a lot of information and helps with visual placement of structures. Would be better if they had option for axial and coronal views and if they could label cranial nerves.
👌🏼👌🏼
Hi
Mr. Brennan sent me here
This app is very helpful when learning the different parts of the brain. It will show you where everything is located and give you a brief description of what it does.
Use it for psych. 10/10
I'm a student learning about the nervous system for Science Olympiad, and let me tell you, this is a fantastic tool for getting to know the brain. It has information about the different parts of the brain and has options for labels. It's also pretty easy to learn how to use. The only issue is that the images are a bit low resolution, but that's not even that bad, and the pro version has better resolution. Overall, awesome learning app.
I love this app :D It's very useful and allows you to see the different sections of the brains such as the temporal lobe. In addition, it also provides information about each part.
The best. Helpful app
I'm taking a neuroscience class and this app makes the brain and its parts easy to learn. It's mostly on simple terms and the visuals really help! The only criticism I have is it can be hard to press certain labels of the brain without accidentally flipping to the next page. But it's still a must have app!
This app is perfect for the visual learner and so easy to work! If you're looking to learn about the brain, this app is a great place to start.
This app is excellent for medical students and neuroscience majors wanting to get an intro to functional neuroanatomy in an easy to visualize way. Not only does the app come with interesting examples of case studies correlated to each part of the brain, but it also has links to relevant, scientific articles for each area. Amazing resource. Thank you.
Issue of crashing when pressing Label buttons has been fixed. Thx!
Mr. Rule is a cool guy
Thanks for all who make this app
I am a about to get my bachelors in psychology and I wish I had this as a freshmen. Looking at this makes mapping brain structures a breeze. If I ever go on to teach this will be coming with me. I know I will have to show my professors this amazing find.
This was a fantastic resource for learning the brain and it is exactly what I needed for my school project👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Will be upgrading With this app, learning the brain was an enjoyable experience and certainly easier than reading in the textbook
Truly an amazing app. I was inspired to be a neurologist because of this app!
I love this app, the only thing I can complain about is when I try to open the Labels, it crashes. I'd love to see more in-depth descriptions of the interior structure, but great study aid for my degree!
